I had my MLD massage at 11 today, they focus on the whole body, not just the face. It felt really nice, I am supposed to be drinking even more fluids than I was to flush the toxins out of me., and take some short walks. My mom and I just went out for a walk with Shelby, our dog (my parents had "adopted" the dog from me several years ago when I lived in Mexico). Two houses down, the family there has a Great Dane, a Golden Retriever, and a Rotweiler. They have an electric fense, but it doesn't seem to be very effective alon their driveway. When the dogs saw us waling by, they cam running, and the Rotweiler attached Shelby! It was all my mom could do to get Shelby out of there, but he had already punctured her skin and did some kind of damage to her leg. So, my mom just left to take her to the vet. I was helpless because I wasn't about to get in the middle of a fight wiht a Rotweiller, as I couldn0t take any chances with my jaw. The owners of the house came out and said they would take care of any vet bills, but jeez! They need to keep that thing on a tight leash with a muzzle or put it down! I love animals, but now I am so afraid to walk by that house. I think I am going to have my husband call the police when he gets home. I really don't need to worry about my safety or those of anyone visiting me, and since we are on a dead end road, that is the only way I can go to take a wald.
Ill post more later on when thins settle down, I just am in a bit of a shock right now that this happenedd

Oh my gosh I had the same thing happen to me right after I got home after surgery. My boyfriend took me and my Boston Terrier for a walk and some people around the corner had their dog tied up in the front yard. It broke lose when it saw us and charged for Bruiser. Luckily, my boyfriend is huge and got between Bruiser, me, and the crazy dog. Its scary because you can't really defend yourself. I agree, I love animals but people need to be responsible with their pets. You look great. I can't believe the lack of bruising! Thats great because that usually takes awhile to go away. I still swear by the heating pad "sock." It really helped with the swelling and felt great. Hope you are doing well. I'm sorry you had such a bad encounter on your walk! I hope the pup is okay too.
Oh no! I hope your dog will be ok! We used to have these 2 german shepherd down the street that were the neighborhood "bully" dogs. One of them even took one of the neighbors small dogs in its mouth! Luckily some of the neighbors got together and those dogs are kept restained now. And wow, even more fluids than you're drinking? Crazy. Anyway, glad to see you're doing well! I always wondered what I will do during my recovery time since there's not much else to do for a few weeks. I'm sure you'll keep busy though :o) Take care!

Yow that must've been terrifying. Dogs are scary when they get into pack mode - esp three big ones like that. Those three must feel pretty tough and cocky in their little group.
Did you call the police in the end? Seems like a good idea - could be a kid next.
